MIDLAND OPERA, in brief..."THE MAGIC FLUTE" by MozartTuesday 1st to Saturday 5th JULY 2014At The Crescent Theatre, Sheepcote St. Birmingham![]() Colourful, characterful and whimsical, Midland Opera's 'The Magic Flute' sizzled with vocal fireworks including the 'Queen of the Night' aria. Whilst dream-filled musical storylines inspired the imagination and left you wanting more. Into a world of mystery and magic stumbled Tamino, a young man seeking the meaning of life, the universe and everything. On his travels he picked up a strange bird-like companion and met a heartbroken queen, longing for the return of her kidnapped daughter. During a quest to rescue the princess, Tamino began to mature and discoved that – in a man’s world – it can be hard to know who’s fooling who.
